lyrics

And as the moon began to slide
Into the deep blue embrace of morning
I felt a certain inclination calling
It's pleas so much like song
There was a scent in the spring breeze
The drapes sailing on its breath
It was the sort that whispers confidence
The sort that conspires to our death

I spied her in the garden where
She hung her laundry on the breeze
White cottons that said surrender
In a voice one could not ignore
She caught me where I hid
And she called me to come near
As I did her dress fell open
In the breeze that brought me here

Her capture was quick and cool
And success was just as mortal
Soon I felt an aching in my chest
The type of one descending
Impaled on the pyre of irony
Now the reapings of that I'd sown
A tool of desire, I am but this
Drawn to the light, there I go
